Mercedes-Benz is set to avail a new generation of the S-Class on September 2nd. The current S63 generates an impressive 603 horsepower from a 4.0 liter twin-turbocharged V-8. Whereas, the new S6 will have a V-8, but the output is expected to be a lot higher.
Based on a regular prototype for the regular S-Class the new S63e can generate up to 800 horsepower. This is enough to get the car from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds.
When it comes to naming the variant the small “e” in the name of the model is put in to represent that the car comes with a high-performing plug-in hybrid powertrain. T
The feature is expected to make its debut in the GT 4-Door Coupe variant as well, and the S63e will showcase the feature afterwards. Given the brief details currently made available on this model it can safely be assumed that the S63e is not just an ordinary variant and will be a tough competitor, however there’s still a lot that is kept under the covers for now.
